Hi Blues Fans!
It’s that time of year that you’ll be hearing from me more and more! Yesterday we announced a new partnership, we have teamed up with the Flagstaff Unified School District Foundation. A portion of our alcohol sales have always benefited music education programs, with different partners. Over the years we have raised over $65,000. This year we will be benefiting the Music and Arts education programs in the Flagstaff Unified School District, this will impact over 16,000 students. This partnership was something my mother wanted to see happen, and I am proud that I was able to make it happen. I’m hopeful that this will be our permanent partner.
We also have officially started our vendor search, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors. We have had a lot of emails of people wanting to participate at the event. A long time sponsor, Satchmo’s BBQ, has agreed to finally vend to the public. Satchmo’s has always provided food to our artists behind the stage, which for them is great. And if you’ve never been to Satchmo’s here in Flagstaff, get your butt over there. It is by far the best BBQ and cajun food in town! Jamie and his crew know how to cook and make you feel at home. Be sure to save room for their fried bread pudding!
We are making some updates to the website. I’m hoping to have a new Media page up by the end of the month. The more we grow the more press we will get, which is exciting!!! We are also going to be adding a portfolio page with photos from the past 7 years.
I’m also working on selling sponsorships! You know that this is my least favorite part, but it’s a necessary evil. Without sponsors both in-kind and cash the event would not be possible. The festival as it grows costs more and more to put on. So, again if you work for a company, or you have a friend who owns a business that you think should be in front of this audience, please send them my way. I am grateful that we have so many sponsors coming back again. Twin Arrows Casino will be back sponsoring the VIP area. CD&E will sponsor our event program. The Glass Company is sponsoring our on-site shuttle. Roland Schorr and Tower is coming back as our Volunteer Shirt Sponsor. Hensley will be our official beer distributor, possibly our wine and craft cocktail sponsor too, but I need to test the product first. I know, I have a hard job.
We have plenty of sponsorship levels left, everything from Presenting Sponsor, Wristband Sponsor, Shade Tent Sponsor, and many more. So if you wanted to spend $25,000 or $250 we have something for you! And who wouldn’t want to get in front of the 8,000 people who attended the event, not to mention all the thousands and thousands of people we reach with our marketing!
Okay Blues Fans I think that’s it for now. I will write again before our tickets go on sale, February 1st!
I hope you have a good week!
Jen
