Okay, now onto some of our Saturday bands!
Cadillac Assembly Line will be performing Saturday at 11:30 am. In 2016 Cadillac Assembly Line was formed and have been playing its version of high energy Blues and Swing all across the greater Phoenix area. The band is made up of Sebastian Brugliera – Lead Vocals and Guitar, Mike Howard – Lead Guitar. Mike was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 2016.
Vince Curtis– Drums, Lynne Avril – Bass, and Tony D’Napo – Saxophone. I hope you enjoy this band as much as I do.
Miller and The Other Sinners is a nationally touring southern soul band based out of NY. They blend the soul of gospel & blues, grit of southern rock, grease of funk and groove of into a smooth slow burn of southern soul. Miller and The Other Sinners has 2 albums out, a live album and their latest, “Rise” EP. Lead Vocalist David Michael Miller was awarded the Males Blues Vocalist Award by Buffalo’s Night Life Magazine for 5 consecutive years. In 2014 the band’s album Poisons Sipped landed on the top 25 Blues Rock Albums on the Roots Music Reports.
You can see them Saturday at 12:20
Griff Hamlin And The Single Barrel Blues Band is an 8-piece, powerhouse, “big-fun-blues-band” that will bend your understanding of what you think the blues is all about. Packed with gritty vocals, blazing guitar licks, jaw dropping solos, and a 4-piece horn section that takes everything to the next level – this band will have you out of your seat in no time.
Although the band was formed in 2018, it’s members have been playing together long before that…1993 to be exact! That’s when Griff Hamlin (Lead Guitar/Vocals/Blues Guitar Unleashed Creator) and Mark Smith (Bass) started it all. Over time, as the stars aligned, so did the rest of the band. Ty Bailie (Keys/Katy Perry/Joss Stone) and Chris Atchley (Drums) complete the rhythm section, who are having so much fun, you sometimes forget how ridiculously brilliant they are. The horn section is the Luxardo cherry on top of this band. With custom arrangements by Nashville great Tim Akers, the horns are everything you’d want a killer horn section to be – tight, tight, and tight. Jonathan Bradley (Trumpet), Eric Letta (Alto and Tenor Saxophones), Kevin Hicks (Trombone) and Griff’s wife, Laura Hamlin (Baritone Saxophone) drive this band all the way to the top shelf.
The band’s debut album I’ll Drink to That secured the #9 spot on the Billboard Magazine’s Top Blues Album Chart.
You can catch them Saturday at 1:15 pm.
The Wesley Pruitt Band is A dynamic Force that enjoys and thrives on performing.
Their set will consist of their originals mixed up with cover songs from their favorite blues artists, then maybe a good ole Alman Brothers tune, then straight to an Elvis medley or a couple of honky tonk songs with a twist. You really never know. I like you say if you are not shaking your butt or tapping your foot you must be on life support. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
You can catch them on Saturday when they take the stage at 2:45
Before I forget, I want to thank our sponsors – without them this event wouldn’t be possible. Our volunteers – you sign up year after year, thank you for your support! To my incredible staff – ladies I love you so much, thank you for always sticking with me on my crazy event journey. And finally to my family for helping with this event year after year, your support and love mean the world to me.
Okay Blues fans… until next week!
