Hi blues fans!
Can someone tell me how it’s September already! I’m just not ready for summer to be over with, not to mention I’m another year older today and I’m also not ready for that!
Well I had some of you reach out about bands, and thank you! I got some great new ideas. Someone went to the Mammoth Blues Festival and gave me all the details. I had another couple doing some research in the Midwest for me. I’m going to see Buddy Guy with Kingfish in Phoenix next week, thanks to a long time fan. I want to see what all the hype is about Kingfish. Later in the month I’ll be checking out Joanne Shaw Taylor who will be up here in Flagstaff.
I also had an idea because in 2024 we will celebrate 10 years! 10 years went by VERY fast! But I’m thinking along with the festival, of course, of maybe doing some shows here in Flagstaff at the Orpheum. What do you think about that? I mean a lot of you come up from the Valley and Tucson – would you come up for some of those shows?
My August has been spent putting together sponsorship proposals, and listening to music. I can’t tell you how hard it is to narrow down the thousands of bands I’d like to play to just 10. I’ve had a blast listening to them all, and I can’t thank you all enough for sending me new bands I’ve never heard of before!
